Year 12 Formal

On Friday 19th March, the Year 12 students of Murray Bridge High School had their ‘night of nights’, the Year 12 Formal. The traditional red carpet arrivals returned this year, with many of the student’s family and friends coming out to see them strut their stuff on the red carpet.  Students arrived in various forms of transport including a hummer and an array of beautiful early model cars brought out just for the occasion.

A well organised formal committee tirelessly prepared and decorated the Murray Bridge Town Hall, transforming it into an enchanted forest for the night. In this stunning and elegant setting, students were tempted by delicious pastries and sweets prepared and served by Mrs Rowland’s Year 11 Home Economics students. As the night went on, the dance floor was the place to be, with Mr Hagger providing some classics like the Nutbush and Macarena for the students to dance the night away.

During the night, awards were given out for the ‘best dress’, ‘best suit’ and ‘cutest couple.’

It was a tight competition with all students looking very glamorous and smart in their attire.

Award Winners:

Best Dress - Sahara Angove

Best Suit - Luke Wulff

Cutest Couple - Holly Temby and Jaydn Spagnoletti

The formal committee would like to thank all of their peers, family members and teachers who helped to bring their vision to life. Without these volunteers, nights like this simply can’t go ahead.
